We girls needed haircuts, and the teens had gift cards burning holes in their pockets, so we had a girls’ day out in California.
First we got haircuts at the lavish Supercuts.
Almost nobody in the hair books looks normal, you know, with that just-rolled-out-of-the-travel-trailer look.
This is Emily getting bangs.
This is Hannah getting bangs.
Isn’t she cute?!
This is Elisabeth getting a trim.
And this is Marissa the Complicated. We still don’t’ know what she got.
Thanks, Grear Grandma and Great Grandpa for the haircut money!
Marissa needed a couple new paintbrushes and some paint to finish up a painting she was working on for some lovely people we met in Wisconsin who have a well-digging mission in Africa. She had birthday money given to her for art supplies, so she’s using it.
We saw a furnishings store, and had to peek.
Bummer. It won’t fit in our trailer.
Finally, Barnes and Noble so Hannah and Elisabeth could use their gift cards.
Hannah likes bookstores.
It’s like a library, but nobody licks the books here.
Ellie’s thinking about working off some baby pudge.
On second thought, it sounds like too much work.
Interesting book placement. Chuckle chuckle.
After a fun, exhausting day, we headed back following the directions Jack Squat, our GPS, gave us. This is where we ended up.
Nice one, Jack.
Sounds like you had fun
Did you get me a book
